Niru DeSilva

Niru De Silva serves as the Director of Retreats at FOCUS, where he leads a team dedicated to organizing transformative retreats across over 200 locations.  His role involves overseeing the development and execution of various retreat programs, including "The Sanctifier," "The Father's House," and "Rec," aiming to deepen participants' spiritual journeys and foster a stronger sense of community. ​

Niru's journey with FOCUS began as a campus missionary at Columbia University, where he met his wife, Sarah. He later served as a Regional Director before transitioning to his current role. His passion for retreat ministry is evident in his commitment to helping others encounter Christ through these immersive experiences. 

Under Niru's leadership, FOCUS Retreats have impacted thousands, providing opportunities for individuals to deepen their faith and connect with others on similar spiritual paths. His dedication to retreat ministry continues to inspire and transform lives within the FOCUS community and beyond.

He holds dual bachelor's degrees from the University of Virginia: a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies, both earned in 2012. He also holds an MBA from Benedictine College.
